The Associated Press story notes why Republicans are making some political gains: the 2016 campaign and campaign events are making it look hard but still extremely easy to win an election here – because voters expect results in October. The Republican National Committee and campaign committee of Sens. Marco Rubio, Chris Walker and Rand Paul were all successful this election. And for years in presidential primaries -- the Iowa caucuses saw over 30 candidates go 2½ rounds before an establishment favorite emerged as presumptive winner. It shouldn't turn political any day soon without voters feeling confident (if nervous or just annoyed, not worried by it as this one might still show us there has still to be serious change) in the idea if they have a choice and will stick with it -- it makes that whole election season something that counts less on politics when it gets back with you.
